We are an active parish community with events taking place throughout the year, from our Parish Christmas Fair to our summer day trips to the seaside. We have a number of different groups which meet regularly. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, most of our face-to-face activities are currently suspended but some groups are meeting online or providing outreach support. You can also keep up to date via our latest newsletter and Facebook page:
Catholic Care Community Market Stall
The Community Market Stall runs every Wednesday at St Winefride's Church Hall between 9.00 - 10.00am and 3.00pm at St John the Evangelist Catholic Primary School to support local people under financial pressure. Please come along to collect a free bag of food if you're in need. If you can't get to the stall but need a free food parcel to be delivered, please contact the Parish Office.
Wednesday Hot Lunch Delivery
Are you an older person who would like to have a home-delivered, hot lunch on Wednesdays (just £3 for two courses) cooked by our Catholic Care Friendship Group? Just contact Michelle Vink: 07739 975000 or Moira Page: 07952 258572 to book.
Parish Men's Group
If you're thinking about the bigger questions in life, curious about God, perhaps wanting to reconnect with your faith or to explore the possibility of becoming a Catholic, you might like to try our online Sycamore group for adults. We meet fortnightly on Thursdays at 7.30pm via Zoom, the format is simple - we watch a short film on a theme and then have some time to talk. If you would like more information or the Zoom meeting link to join us, just email the Parish Office or see our Facebook page.
Young Christian Workers
A group for Catholic young people aged 11 to 14 who want to grow in their friendship with Jesus, put their faith into practice, make new friends and have fun. The group is currently meeting online on Thursday evenings, contact the Parish Office for the Zoom meeting link information or see our weekly newsletter or Facebook page.
