Parish Pastoral Council

The Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) is a formally constituted group which has the Parish Priest as it's President and a Chair and Vice Chair representing the parish. The PPC also includes a representative from twelve Parish groups. Members give of their time to help in fostering pastoral action in the parish and their deliberations and decision making constitutes an exercise in co-responsibility for the life of the parish. The PPC agreed the following Mission Statement:

'To spread the Good News of Jesus Christ by living our faith as a Catholic Community in worship, service and support of each other and to answer our call to discipleship, outreach, inclusion and evangelisation in our parish and in our wider community.'

Shared Leadership Team

The Shared Leadership Team which comprises the parish clergy and four parishioners drives forward the parish’s mission through monthly conversations about how we can form parishioners as disciples and reach out to those who do not participate in the life of our parish. We commend our ideas to the Parish Pastoral Council which is charged with the responsibility of making our Parish Mission Statement a reality.

We are blessed to have volunteers who are called to share their gifts in many different ways in the parish and wider community. If you feel God might be calling you to do something in the parish, we would love to hear from you! Please also see our weekly newsletter or follow us on Facebook for opportunities to get involved.

Please be aware that certain volunteer roles will require DBS checks by our Parish Safeguarding Officer.
