Serving is part of Christian life, where we can use our talents and time to help transform lives in our parish and wider community.  We believe that we all have a role to play and that everyone should have an opportunity to share their unique gifts to help build up our parish. Our aim is to have many people doing one thing and not a few people doing everything. We have many different ministries with something for everyone, please take a look at the opportunities below and get in touch via the Parish Office - we would love to hear from you!

Administration and finance

Could you help out for an hour a week in the Parish Office answering the phone, helping with administrative work or with money counting or book-keeping?

Church

Could you assist in the sacristy, help to create floral displays in church or join our cleaning team?

Disabled people

Do you enjoy sharing time with adults and young people with disabilities? Why not get involved with our Snowdrops Group?

Environment

Could you help keep our church grounds tidy or use your gardening skills to develop our parish vegetable and flower gardens?

Faith formation

Do you have a passion for sharing your faith and accompanying others? Do you have a gift for prayer? Why not get involved in one of our adult faith groups or First Sacraments groups for children?

Food support

We work with Catholic Care to provide food support; could you deliver a food parcel to a family in need?

Hospitality and welcome

Could you greet and welcome people into church and help to make them feel at home?

Liturgy

Could you read at one of our Masses or assist as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion? If you enjoy singing or playing a musical instrument, why not join one of our singing and music ministries?

Older people

Could you help an older person feel less isolated with a friendly phone call or visit, or could you help deliver a parish newsletter to them?

Young people

If you have a passion for working with young people, why not get involved with one of our youth groups or the children's liturgy?

Winter shelter

We participate in the Inn Churches’ Winter Shelter initiative each year which supports people who are homeless. We open one of our church halls for a week to provide accommodation for our guests. Could you cook a meal, befriend someone or offer a service such as a haircut?
